Thanks a lot man. I get the biggest smile when I walk out of the store and see it sitting there waiting for me.
Wish I could make my mind up about the transmission. I have a wrx tranny all pulled apart...could go 4.11 or 3.9. Either way I'm dying to put a clutch in to find out just what tis thing can do.

Transmission time! Started by gutting the wrx case, cleaned half of it. Its not rust, its not corrosion, its not grease...its all of the above?
Decided to put the case pieces back together. Handling the case halves sucks!
They are sharp and awkward and its easy to damage the mating surface that will keep the oil in. Its looking like I will stick with the 3.9. I cant find a deal on a 4.11 tranny to steal parts from and id like to confirm that the internals are working before buying stuff for a used unit.

Well I got the 03 wrx trnas in and have been driving it around for about 2 weeks now.
The car absolutely rips!
Friday night I decided that I would wire in pin c1 to a7(b134) and a15(b134) to a proper engine ground, soldered it all in nicely and boom p0031 is back!
Got the ac re-filled and discovered that it stays on constantly unless you push the button. yep thats right, its on when the button is off.
Also a7 and a15 are supposed to run to b100(pin1) and then f60(pin16) there is ground at both ends of the b100 plug but not at a7 and a15
So something is horribly wrong with the way my harness is wired...I am shocked that after all the tinkering and driving I've been doing that it has not caught fire.
dash is currently on the lawn
SUPER SAD FACE

Found a network of grounds that had no ground so ive permanently solved the p0031 problem.
Still having the ac issue tho.
Also got a fuel temp sensor input high, wondering if they are related
trying my hardest to figure this out but man its difficult.

Yea man, im in way over my head with the wiring. I knew I was going into it but its the path I chose due to financial limitations. Im not too upset. Im so close i can taste it. Been studying wiring diagrams, its been raining all week I have not touched it.

about 6 weeks ago i came to my senses and sent the harness to I-wire. Brian did a great job of cleaning up my mess but i still have a problem with the AC.
The ac comes on when the button is off!!!!! this is so unbelievably frustrating! I cant find why its doing this.
Ive tried a different button
Ive traced-retraced and then traced the wires again. still no closer to figuring how how to correct it or even why its doing it.
The fact that it cuts voltage to the relay when the circuit is closed is just mind blowing.
How the fu%k is that even possible.
Pulling my hair out. Please somebody help me before i go bald.

I started my own thread about the fuel gauge situation before I came across yours. Do you have any updates on that?

95 Dash to RS Dash...fuel gauge/sender question

been a while since i posted.
On the R58 plug(on the fuel tank)
04wrx- pin 2 goes to ground
98RS-pin 5 goes to ground.
I grounded pin 2 and now i have a functioning fuel gauge.
It goes all the way to full and seems very accurate so far.
The wrx ecu does not like it. Throws cel low input when near empty and high input when full.
