Pocono is 5hrs away. We have Pitt Race but nobody lieks a tube chassis car so i've been limited to TNiA's which well, are hard to get real track times from since you cant pass slower traffic until a straight and only if they "let you"

Ah...
I see .. you've studied the picture well...

Its the 'Murican Airlines 409 Sleeper.
It has custom paint mods from the early NASCAR era.
This one factory standard came without an engine.

Thats the concept with HPDE as well..
You pass on point-by.

Only difference is you have 4 groups based on "experience".
I've done 2 days back to back in Poconos and NJ...

Sometimes they allowed to camp on the track property.. but those days might be long gone..

Your tube chassis might be a liability for them, but then your argument would be its not a convertible and its a DOT registered and approved vehicle.
You just missing the side protection a bit. (as compared to an ariel atom)

TNiA didnt seem to care about liabilty. If its got a plate, run it. I even brought arm restraints and they didnt care if i used them since i needed to point by.

Yes that car! I was going off the 'fins' in the back and taking a general guess lol

Man toys back then were the shit. Plastic electronics that break in a year suck.

Not talking about my GameBoy

Finally came time to close the rear parcel shelf hole.
Here we start with some CAD equipment.

Biggest challenge is getting to the back witout removing the seats.

Meet the sheet.

CAD template was transfered but I decided to do the arch with some string and a marker since my trace of the window wasnt perfect.

Installed pics coming tomorrow...

Last but not least for today...
I had to strip and paint the wipers again.
Finally a set of wipers installed !!!
