do what the cam card is calling for
I noticed the lash decreases sometimes after engine break in, perhaps that's why builders run bigger lash, so that they know they have safety margin

After much thought I've decided to re-set the valve lash.

I found a "hidden" .0015 feeler gauge and re-did the measurments.

Now measurements we are within 0.0005" ...

Looking at the cam card I've decided to go with 0.009" lash on the intake and 0.011" on the exhaust.

With the new garage having more space, it was the first time really I got to fully utilize the cart.

That Gates "ricing" belt keeps on leaving marks..

New buckets are on order... lets hope I got my math right.

A bucket here.. and a bucket there..
and looks like we are done.

Specs call for
.008 Intake +/- .001 (goal was .009)
.010 Exhaust +/- .001 (goal was .011)

Here are the final results.

For those that are interested I found this easy bucket calculator made by some guy on Nasioc..
Here is a link to the xls.

Yes.. that one is gone..

But I feel like there is a different one now. It sounds like something loose is being tossed around.

Probably just a 10mm socket. It'll find a hole to settle in sooner or later
