Started this thread 2 years after purchase, but here's my story. Bought from a little old lady with 58k. 4 door, minor Subaru rust, crappy motor, and an even crappier 4eat. Multiple head jobs and finally an ej251 replacement and 5MT swap around 100k. Typical GC8 parts and such listed below.

AND SO THE STi SWAP BEGINS..

Weekend recap:

Picked this V5 wing up on 6/15.

Inb4 woman driver comments.

Tear down and shenanigans.

Don't even ask if this is a part out. I already have parts lined up to be running in a week or so and to be looking sexy again in no more than a month.

I'm looking for v5/6 RS style bumper and bumper beam on the cheap.** CHECK

ANYWAYS, keeping my mind occupied with painting this wing. :)

Busy busy day yesterday! MY ENGINE FIRED UP JUST FINE. Replaced the water pump, retapped the hole for the tensioner, timed and back to my stock pulley. Also set up shop painting all the things (body work takes patience and I had to kill time doing something)! Nice cherry blossom red for all the caps under the bonnet. Got almost all of the V5 wing painted. One more can of base then time for clear!

Again, I waste no time.. I got my new new V6 Momo in.... and two my friends got my extra surrounds. Dashboard, complete! Just waiting on some sensors before I hook the airbags back up.

And last but not least, got confirmation from a friend via email that my present to myself will be here by the end of July hopefully. Pay no mind that I ordered from a Euro dealer!
