Am ultimately convinced that it's the automatic transmission that is causing me issues. Over the last few months I've learned not to boost in OD unless going at a rather illegal rate. Last night someone tried to get the jump on me so I went for it. So I was on the highway at legal speed, and when I pinned the throttle and pulled back on the shifter it was already showing 7psi by the time the trans shifted down.
I found a Perrin DP on ebay for a couple hundred bucks, no one else wanted it so I took it in the last couple hours of the auction. This should solve my over boost issue. We'll see how long a motor lasts when it's not superturbocharged.
No major updates, wish I had more motivation. I did get in to it the other day looking for something to help my brother chase down some high LTFT on his caliber srt4 and found water getting in both B pillars and the left tail light. Got a snazzy new job recently and was able to get new OEM window seals for about $79 each. Should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. The rear glass might need a better angle to put more pressure against the seal.
As for the tail lights, JDM ones may be in the near future.
Got the window seals installed. mine was so flat that I didn't think I had gotten the right parts! Lighting wasn't ideal for pics but oh well
Edit for posterity: 62710FA000 and 62710FA010 for RH and LF respectively for the sedan. They come with new pins preinstalled. I had ordered pins too since the parts diagram didn't specify and only showed three per side. Somehow over 30 showed up...
Ripped it out... satisfying and scary at the same time. Cleaned all the gunk out that had collected under and around as well.
