I'll believe it when I see a GC or GF in our garage.

Not too much to report. We moved. We haven't done anything further to the brakes. I still haven't bought a replacement steering rack. Something (presumably the steering fluid) has been leaking onto my exhaust and making my car smell AWFUL.

I did however hit a busted tire on the highway going 65mph around 11:30pm a few nights ago. I parked it at home and left for Portland the next day so I didn't see the damage in the daylight. It looked like surface scuffs from the tire when I looked at it on the side of the road. Thankfully not a single broken or lost part! Tyler detailed it today since I'm still out of town and he said there were only a few paint chips. Guess I'll see it Tuesday when I get back home.

Other than that, I converted my anti-Subaru brother into a Subaru owner. He tried getting on the Jeep bandwagon so we test drove a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Cool rig, but the wind noise is kinda lame and it felt like a boat. I steered him toward a Forester XT since he can sleep in the back, go anywhere, and have a semi-reliable car to replace his deathtrap of a BMW.

Welcome the 2004 Forester XT autotragic with only 48k miles to the family! Drives nice and smooth; I like it.

I love my Subaru, but I almost love it more when I help other people get 'em.

My wife has a '04 Outback
My mom has a '13 Outback
My dad has a '14 Forester
My mother-in-law has a '11 Forester
My father-in-law has a '13 Legacy
My next-door-neighbor has a '12 Outback 3.6R
My next-next-door neighbor has a '15 Outback and a '12 Impreza
My wife's secretary has a '15 Forester
My mom's coworker has a '13 Impreza
My dad's friend has a '14 Forester
My friend from high school has a '13 Legacy

...and that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. The Subaru Family keeps growing! Nice find in that FXT for your buddy there!! Low miles, too!!

That's one BIG family tree of Subaru. I have 4 Subaru for myself and nobody in my family wants to drive it. Reason: All 5 speed.

You've just gotta teach 'em! I keep trying to convince my wife to learn to drive my 2.5 RS Coupe but I can't seem to come up with a good reason.

Me - "What if something goes wrong with your Outback and you need to get to work? If I have my Impreza Hatchback, all you'd be left with would be the RS."

Wife - "I'd make you come get me. You're the one who told me these things never break, aren't you?"

Me - "Well I... um... well yes but I didn't mean... uhhh... ::damn::"

They are spoiled since they have auto already and I can't/don't want to teach people who doesn't want to learn. Everyone wants easy way out, reason why you see dirt tracks short cut on the lawn even though there's a sidewalk.

And the name SubiGamy=Many Subi wives.

LOL! So far I've only got 2 people into Subarus.. Good enough I suppose!

I was tooling around my engine bay and noticed that my CV boot is almost completely torn. Sweeeeeeet. One more thing to add to an already growing list that won't be done anytime soon. I have an enormous dental bill that needs to be dealt with first.
