Engine bay looks great with all of the fasteners replaced. I might have to do the same someday. I hear you on the bolt size. Whenever I need to replace fasteners I always make sure they're either OEM or the proper grade JIS. I never knew about Overland Metric. I'll check them out!

Here's a shot I randomly found on Reddit searching "Subaru JCCS". Probably the only picture I have of myself with the Subaru.

Hello, I'm still here and so is the car.

Nothing major, just some maintenance items if you will, over the last year.

Around March, I was washing the car, doing some air pressure checks, and noticed one of the lugs was loose. Turns out one of the studs was broken.

I got ARP extended wheel studs and a Lisle wheel stud tool. Also got more Muteki Open ended lugs. I didn't want to hammer the old studs out, but the broken stud came out with relatively light impact of a sledge hammer. Luckily it was one of the front studs so I could still replace the studs without removing the whole hub like the rears.

The lease on my BMW ended in April so while I'm in between car purchases, I knew that the Subaru would get driven more. Time for some maintenance items. The chassis has over 190k on it and I dont think the Clutch Master/Slave have ever been swapped out.

Got some OEM replacements from Rock Auto and also Whiteline dogbone

I had some trouble with air left in the cylinder, but luckily there was a new bleeder screw at the top of the master cylinder.

Glad the car is still around! I like the wheel stud tool. Haven't seen that before.

In lieu for the upcoming Subiefest 2019 on 10/13/19 I wanted to make some changes to the car to change it up a bit. I missed both the Subaru Summer Solstice and Japanese Classic Show this year.

I've always been on the fence on the Gc8 Type R graphics package because not only is my car a fake, but the OEM decals are rather pricey. I found ZenGraphicsUK made good replicas for a fraction of the price, so I said the heck with it.

Not bad for $100 for everything

I even put the cherry blossom red stars badge back on. I told myself I would never do this years ago...but things change

I also wanted to get my 5Zigens refinished. I just recently joined instagram weeks ago, so I'm late to the game, but I found this Powdercoater in Riverside, CA that posted a lot of nice work on Instagram. I shot him a quote and it was about half of what I was quoted where I got my Volks re-done.

The anodized finish from 2004 and being stored outdoors in Sacramento since 2007 really did a number.

I didn't want to reveal the color until Subiefest, but its powder coat color called Kingsport Grey, which is very similar to Advan's Gunmetal finish.

I was debating Matte Bronze, or Matte Black, but went with the gunmetal because there's too many variables with Bronze (either too gold or too brown) and black loses the wheel design altogether.

2 weeks later, I even got new FN01R-C decals.

Here she is at the end of Subiefest.

I got runner up this year, which I was quite surprised to get. There were a few more RS' this year including Ayanamieve's car (thanks for remembering who i was lol) but I think the judging was more towards the "less is more" mentality.

I'm pretty sure I'm also the only RS with a finished audio trunk setup too which always surprises judges.
