Pressed out the old bushings at work from the aluminum control arms. I used a torch to expand the aluminum as they are over 13 years old... they will go on tomorrow.
Preparing for the track! Last night I removed my rear wheel spacers. Since I sold my rear sway, my independent suspension's travel is a bit much. I used to rub when the back bottomed out, now I rub going into driveways. I ripped off one side's rubber lining in the back... oops. #weightreduction
I have a 25mm adjustable hollow hotchkis sti rear sway to match my lateral links, I will be putting the bushings in tonight after work.
Also, I started grinding off the powder coating from the cage to weld into the car. Should all be done this Sat!
Pics to come.
PS... back still rubs a little I think. I know stiffer springs (coilovers) can help fix this, for now, I think I will roll the rears out a little.
I was wondering why they were cut pretty clean...and someone said on my other journal that theirs were cut too, which threw me off. Because if they were bashed up, you would probably notice, even after they were cut off.
