Round 3...put the trans in yesterday.

Thanks the Justin, sube doo, for helping me confirm i needed new axles for this 95 transmission. So I went to Kragen auto at 12 pm, they had 1 in stock, brand new, $57. Lifetime warranty. I asked when a second one would be there... he told me to come back at 4. What service.

New axles fit like a glove

Put the exhaust back on!

Installed the pitch stop

Decided to add a radio.

As soon as I plugged it in, it spit out

Did a cheap smoke test at home using a hooka. I removed the brake booster line and attached another hose to it. As I blew smoke in, the only place it came out was my throttle body! So no leaks.

I adjusted the idle screw until my car sits at about 6-700 rpms. I had to adjust the screw quite a bit actually. I did not do this at first, because I did not want to compensate for a leak if there was one. Also, the car did not idle high before. I did have my TB ported and polished, plus cams, could affect my idle. Just glad it seems ok now. I am surprised the LW flywheel feels so normal on this 1.8.

Oh and both my strut bars fit. The front end is very tight with this, the alk's, and front sway bar.

Yesterday, flushed the transmission oil. I ran some walmart oil for a few miles, dumped, and replaced with Motul 300.

Worked on the passenger tail light. Ill do the driver tomorrow.

Pulled the light off.

You can tell the top was done for.

Cleaned off the car

Cleaned the light too, washed all the dirt off the seal area. Applied a thick layer of gasket.

Just to make sure, added more to the car

Inside of the car smells amazing. Like a box full of model glue. I hope this works.
