These brake look good!

Here is the inside with 25 pounds of tar and sound deadening removed!

I also blocked off my sensors and vacuum line openings from my removed emissions stuff. Here are the lines I don't need anymore...

It all equals weight reduction!

Cheers to L and E Fabrication LLC for making GC-GD u-joints!

I am going to run a 2002 GD steering rack in my car, along with a 2002 pump, thanks to Kevin! (bondomonkey)

Ok, going backwards for a minute. I bought a GD power steering pump to replace the leaky one on my car. It came with a manufactured steering rack, and was a great deal.

It was a little dirty, so I cleaned it up.

Scrubbed the back. I did not take a good pic of the front. :/

I had the PS bracket and the AC bracket cleaned and coated from Vellios Machine Shop. Cool little place, I will go there and poke around some day.

Couple pics installed:

Big thanks to Aaron and S&S Auto on here for getting me the bracket I need for the tank!

How the lines sit. The hard lines bother me as they actually push against my intake, and that's plastic... I am looking for a metal one. With my special MAF housing, the market is slim.

The return line

Line to pump

Hard lines

First oil change after 4 miles driven plus some idling.

Here is my old FWD transmission from my 1995 L that I bought as a rally car shell. The transmission in this car is no good anymore, had to re-buy back this one to use.

I could not get the camera to focus for the life of me -_-

Here is the drain plug untouched.

I found gold and silver!

So I had to pull off my fresh re-surfaced flywheels and put on my ACT streetlite fly from my rs. I didn't want to with the pulley already installed... oh well

I forgot to take a picture of the flywheel before I put the clutch and pressure plate on.

This car is cursed. I took my old FWD transmission from my 95 L to put in my 95 base. Ha. The shift linkage would not fit right. Very odd. You can see a ton of pics here:

https://www.rs25.com/forums/f13/t1865...bbing-car.html

So I gave up. Pulled the trans back off last night and am selling it today. I took my base transmission to AQ motorsports for a rebuild. Adon opened her up... soup everywhere.

My main shaft bearing is toast. It has a tone of play as most of the material inside has disintegrated into the gear oil. There is so much play, the bearing chipped the rod. See below, the chunk missing is in between the yellow. The chunk mush have come out with a previous owner, because it was no where to be found.

All the gears a worn, 3rd gear has parts of teeth ground off, and reverse is also missing chunks off teeth.

Black portion is the main bearing. Yellow is the part missing.

3rd...

reverse

On the positive, I was able to score a sweet pitch stop from Aaron and the boys at S&S!

The bushing looks practically new...
