Nah, no engine yet, right now I kinda wanted to go with a cammed ej251 because it'd be my first swap, just to make it easy. But an ez30 would be cool. So maybe?

Default Finally getting started...

Kinda of a big update for me, just some small stuff with the OBS though.

I moved to California. Livermore to be exact. I'm pretty excited about it. Nice and sunny. The Bay Area da has been good to me so far. Sorry PNW it'll be awhile before I'm back.

Anyways, on the trip down my knock sensor died. So I replaced that about 2/3rds of the way down, while I was in redding. S eked to help but still dealing with a lot of hesitation from 2k to 2.5k rpm. Not sure what's up, but I'm real tired of it.

But I bought the fender plug and upgraded rear sway bar mounts. I very thing there seems good so far. The mounts are so much beefier than what's stock. I remember bending the stock ones when putting on my 20mm rsb. So I'm glad to finally have these.

Nice! I had bad hesitation when my knock sensor went out but replacing it cleared it up right away. Maybe reset the ecu? I also had very similar symptoms when I had a misfire due to leaky valve covers fouling plug #3.

The knock sensor definitely fixed the worst of the hesitation, but it still persists a little. Yesterday it did seem to be way better. I'm not sure what was really different. During the day I did take a look at just about everything under he good and unplugged and rep lugged just about everything. So maybe there was a loose plug??

Hesitations back with a vengance. Real bad between 2k and 2.5 and then lurches at 4k. This is gunna take more work than I'm ready for right now

Do you have a grounding kit installed? Or try spraying some cleaner on the maf.

That sort of hesitation happened to me a lot because of an oiled filter I had which destroyed the maf, would hesitate as soon it warmed up until it died. Replaced the maf put a dry filter on no more problems, if the maf isnt dead yet try cleaning it with brake cleen.
