Spent a beautiful saturday washing, claying, and waxing Raz. Topped it off by going to my favorite ramen joint for dinner.

Not much happening with Raz lately. Just driving it on the weekends, washing every few weeks, and enjoying! Got a black iWire intercooler splitter I need to put on, and my AC belt squeals every now and then - but otherwise its just about everything I could have ever wanted out of a swapped GC.

Which makes it really odd to say - I'm considering selling. I just don't drive it enough, and I've realized I'm much like many others in that the journey of the project was the fun, not the resulting car. Not sure what could be next for a fun car or project, but I feel bad having such a cherry swapped RS just sitting in the garage not being loved the way it should.

I'll probably spend some time this weekend putting together a proper FS thread unless someone wants to throw an offer my way!

What do you daily drive? I picked up a GC8 last year and I'm debating if I should even start a journey or not in modding it. It's bone stock atm and sometimes I wonder if I'm betting off just buying a brand new STi, lol.

Daily is a '15 S4 DSG.

Having gone from an '11 STI to the S4 w/ the swapped RS, I'd say it depends on what you want and what you're willing to put up with. In LA traffic I finally couldn't handle rowing a 6MT after 15 years, which is why I went from the STI to the S4. Now, when I drive the RS it's because I want to row my own gears, feel the road and have a connection with the car. Having to "deal" with the RS every day (noise, stiffness, 6MT, etc.) would be too much for my aging body + ears. If I were 20 again, the RS would be /perfect/.

Dont sell it man you will regret it. one of the cleanest 4dr RS swapped i've seen. I myself have a 4dr BRP RS I sold my 05 STI and kept the RS. Nothing can beat an old school subaru.

I know I'll regret it - but life moves on! Its been an awesome project, and won't be my last. Got a buyer coming tomorrow. Spent the day washing Raz, gathering up all the spare + extra parts, and going for one last drive down the coast. He will be missed!

You just broke my heart.

I hope you get something objectively better.
