The latest development!

All tierods and swaybar bolts and steering rack everything feels tight when the wheel is turned, no slop anywhere.. no idea what's causing the sound.

EDIT: Ended up being a loose tie rod

Both of those seem tight with no slop, have checked em.

Think my steering rack might be calling it quits. Sounds like a knock from the inside of the rack.

Does the steering feel any different? I find it hard to believe there could be much play in the rack/pinion while it still functioned normally... Steering boxes perhaps but not racks.
