I would imagine NOT driving that car would take quite the heaping helping of self restraint.

I hate that I love the wide body so much... GAH!! It's a must have, but so out of my budget. Not to mention I'd probably ruin it in rallycross.

Hi.

I have a few questions regarding the bodywork.
Are your front fenders removable ?
Also any cracks that developed over the time ?

How are you lifting the car..
From the diff/tranny only ?
My concern is that things will start cracking once the car gets lifted from one side.

Any pointers ?

Thanks
Remski

The front fenders are removable yes. there is one tiny hairline crack right behind the rear window on the passenger side. I absolutely do not lift the car with the stock jack points. I have had to be careful about getting work done to the car as well, (mid-pipe exhaust and dyno time) ensuring that the guys dont trash the body kit and use a drive on hoist or lifting points like mine. I lift the car with the rear diff or front control arms or cross member.
Other pointers? Not really, it takes alot of planning if youre doing it yourself or a pile of money if someone else does it for you.

Make sure everything gets secured and sealed up nicely, especially in the rear, once those quarters are on they arent coming off again.

Anyone recommend a turbo to upgrade to for 14-20 psi with a EJ257 internals and STI pink injectors? I was thinking a VF39 or TD05 but Id like some suggestions....

Found a new place to rent in the best part of Canada today with cheaper rent and close to my land so I can get to work on the house. Engine building will have to wait till after the move but now the car will have some beautiful mountain roads to cruise on instead of the straight salt and gravel covered frozen roads of northern Alberta. Its a full 20 hours drive south of where we currently live, and 20 minutes to the Can/US border. Can't wait to get down there.

You have to be careful with td05 they like to boost creep on 2.5's so some porting around the waste gate or EWG might be necessary. Just helped my buddy go from a td05 16 to a td06 a8g from six star speed and i'm pretty impressed with it on his ej255. quicker spool up most likely due to the fact that the old turbo was trashed with a bit more top-end available from both ends of the turbo.

The <span style="font-

Thanks guys. I got the STI pistons today. Used but in excellent shape. Better than what I currently run for sure. I found a VF39 for sale locally but the guy didnt want to take PayPal as payment. Sorry no sale. Got a line on a VF30 ill call about tomorrow. Still assembling parts for the rebuild.
