I just cleaned out my garage today so I will have a work space.

I plan on starting with the rear end. I'll be swapping in a STi gas tank, adding a WRX sub-frame, r180, 06 sti rear hubs & axles, 05 Gold BBS, GD whiteline G4 coils(5x114.3 fitment), bakemono gc rear camber plates, and rear brembos painted silver. I also have a set of RS side skirts I would like to install. I have an extra set if somebody wants to buy em.

I have a set of 05+ Aluminum Lateral links off an STi that I have been trying to sell but I may just use em instead(I also have a steel set off an 02 WRX). Are the STi Lateral links that much better?(I know they give a bit more track width)

I'm waiting on an adapter to make the the bakemono camber plates work with the G4 coils.

Thanks to Turn In Concepts for figuring out what I need to mount the GC camber plates to the GD Group 4's.

Well I did some work on the L the past couple days so I'll make an update here on what I have done.

On thursday I dropped the whole rear subframe and gas take to make way for the AWD rear end and STi gas tank.

Also some goodies from Turn in Concepts came in, so now I can mount my rear camber plates to my whiteline G4s

Tonight I was able to get my GD pedal box installed to get ready for the 6MT that will be going in soon(I cant stand autos!)

Every subaru needs a rally pig somewhere:

And on a side note this guy decided to pay me a visit tonight while I was working, I dont know what it is but its a big SOB.

Me too! LOL!

I'm gonna see if I can get The STi fuel tank in tomorrow(with a walbro 255 lph pump) I'll see I I have the hardware I need to install the AWD rear end. I will have to look through all my parts for the rear diff outrigger mounting plates.

hey rock on with the 95 L man! i have the sedan version and hope to mod it soon but i cant wait to see what you're doing to this beast. i like that idea of the 6-speed, thats what i was thinking of doing as well. good luck, ill keep checking back to see the progress.

oh and where did you find the rally pig sticker? thats sweet! lol

#16 ·
Nice plans, looks like you'll have it in full beast mode pretty quickly. Did you have to mod the pedal box holes to mount to the dash frame? Mine didn't line up exactly and I had to enlarge the holes some to allow it to line up after tightening the booster bolts. Just asking because I never hear anyone mention modding anything, its like everyone else's just bolts in.

#18 ·
Mine didn't just bolt up. I had to cut off the bracket above the clutch and slot the upper holes to get it to bolt up. I have heard its supposed to bolt right up but mine didnt...

nice build so far.
it kinda looks like the gas pedal is too close to the floor does it clear?
Yeah its fine, it still goes WOT. The carpet isn't in 100% right.

I have been working on getting the STi fuel tank installed(with a walbro 255 pump). My latest road block was the L fuel hardlines don't use quick connects and the STI does. I had two options, run injector hose from the pump outlet(removing the plastic quick connect, and slipping the injector line on the pump outlet that has no barb and clamp it real good, not ideal) to the L hard line or install the RS hardline I have that has a quick connect.

I went with option two, and removing the L hardline and installing the RS hardline, its a PITA!

Have done some more work on the L today and decided to give an update. Today I got the hardware I needed to install most of the rear end. The r180 is snug in its new home.

Also got one hub/spindle installed so I decided to test fit one of the goldies

Thanks for the help man. car build looks good. Lemme know if you need help with the 6mt. btw I'll take those wrx lat links, and quite possibly sideskirts. can work out a deal door cards possibly =p.

btw heres a pic of that 1.8 out of my L that you installed in your GEO!!! rear engine POWA

Been a little while since I have updated this. I have got the STi driveline 100% installed. The only issue I have ran into is the rear is still pretty low and it rubs. The strange thing is my coils are pretty much maxed out to as high as they go. Here is a pic of my 6MT 1.8L

The front looks lower in this pic due to the slope of the driveway.
