The course was super tight and I never left 1st gear. There was also soooo much loose gravel all over including a huge patch in the braking zone at the end of the course.

The best part was our little crew took 1st though 4th in turbo prepared class!

I got First place, my fiancée got second and our friends Steve and Justin got 3rd and 4th.

Just coming across this post. So you were the coupe with the turbo swap that won turbo prep! I was 2/10th of a second behind your time, but different category with maybe half the hp.

I had the white non-turbo coupe with 2.0L motor, took 1st place in non-turbo and 3rd best time of the day. Quicker than all but one turbo car out there, yours!
The BRZ that beat both of us was definitely quick.

Maybe for next year they will actually clean the course. Any dirtier and I would have been better off running my Dmack gravel tires.

Very cool! Nice driving out there! Yeah that course was not turbo friendly at all, I actually stayed in first gear for the whole course, with the 2.0L turbos you have to keep the revs up(8k redline helped a bunch for my car and my Fiancée’s car, EJ207 FTW!). I would say the course favored a lightweight na car over the heavier higher HP turbo cars. Hence the Stock BRZ kicking our asses(with an excellent driver).

Your car must be pretty light, I don’t think a saw a stick of interior in it expect for a Sparco bucket and the dash

I need to get my car weighed, it was 2900 on the dot before the widebody. Again nice driving and congrats on 1st in the NA class!

The car is a little lighter than stock without the rear seat and rear panels, but those pieces don't weight much. Still have stock door panels, headliner, dash, etc.

Tires are just 215 wide Yokohama Advan. They did ok on the loose surface, but I think they would be much better on a proper track surface and with some heat.
I had only used the car on dirt before and thought it rotated fine. On asphalt it was understeering too much, so I'll have to play with alignment and maybe a rear anti-roll bar.

By far my favorite build! Helped keep me awake when I was putting my son to sleep, thanks!! Keep up the good work. And I agree with most to clean to track.

Congrats on the engagement too!

Rainy day track day yesterday at Streets of Willow with the Subie Challenge Series. Which I took 1st place in the S2 class.

All the action shots are from Caliphotography, who take awesome track shots!

Of course the rain cleared up at the very end of the day.
