The Hella supertones in the grill are bugging me a bit, I think I may move them behind the bumper somewhere out of sight. They just seem out of place now. I'm also really thinking about doing the WRC mirrors, in the straight on shot the stock mirrors make it look like the car has elephant ears

Any plans on changing to this grill if you can source one?
With my bumper the grill is not integrated like in this pic(that's the S6 Style front bumper, I'm going more for the S5 look(inter cooler wasn't mounted in the grill till the S6 Impreza).

Also, changed the hella's to black for you.
That doesn't look too bad, I still think I'll just mount them behind the bumper so I dont have to see em at all.

Cool build. #3 my favorite # too!
Doing all that AutoX , u need some wider wheels. 17x9 atleast
Super clean tho!
Yes I do! I don't think I can fit much bigger tires with the stock body, I currently have 245-40-17's on 17x8 and its really tight. I cant stand fender flairs so its gonna have to be an aerosim widebody(this has been the plan all along, its just tough dropping 8-10k all at once.) Once I do have the wide kit on there i'm planning on doing something in 18x10. I'd love a set of one of these: Enkei RC-T4, Speedline Turini, OZ Asfalto, or even TR Motorsports C3(made by Enkei for tire rack). I think the RC-T4 is the only one that comes in 18x10 normally tho :/

Ah I see, do you have any bites on the S5 vents? I believe somebody in Russia has been recreating a bunch of WRC parts, he quoted me a nice price for them. I think he's just finished with some P2000 wings, P2000 lips, WRC widebody's, WRC vents, WRC light pods. etc

Since I moved my head unit I had in the car to my daily forester I needed a new radio so I opted for a basic stock radio. The 2002 WRX double din matches very well with the RS interior, so I went with that one(cant beat $30 shipped) and the Jazzy engineering AUX input for the 02-05 WRX factor head unit.

I also color mached the back light of the HVAC and the WRX Radio to the STi cluster:

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it! I used white LEDs in the HVAC and a red stage gel, this way the blue portion of the Temp scale doesn't get washed out to red. The only thing is the red and blue temp scale is slightly brighter than the rest of the HVAC, it has to do with the masking on the back of the panel.

For the Stock ratio I kept the stock incandescent bulbs with the green condoms removed then I installed the red stage gel.

I still need to figure out a way to convert the GC switches(fog light and cruise etc to red. The green gel can be scraped off the GD switches but with the gc when you scrape the green gel it destroys the image on the switch. Unfortunately the GD switch window is not the same size as the GC I may try to see if I can make it fit.

You can kinda see it in post 280, I'm not really happy with how it came out, I used Jb weld and bondo and it did not adhere to the ABS plastic of the bugeye center console piece so its cracking and de-laminating. I really need to re do it, probably in fiberglass. it was more a proof of concept and I never got around to version 2.

This is so true! It was a PITA but it was worth it  You are also 100% right about the defis, the thing with them is once you have them no other gauges will do. They are so responsive!

Went out with the girlfriend and two other friends to Streets of Willow this Saturday. We ran CCW.

The day started off now too bad:

I ran in the beginner group since I hadn't been to this track in like 5 years. So the first run group was lead and follow with an instructor car.

Then by the second run group which we were allowed to go out by ourselves, *A wild storm appears*

Later in the day it got pretty bad!

My best time of the day was 1:49.3 on a soaked track. (my half worn star specs were not gripping for anything in the wet).

I did however have lots of fun. I really like this track and I cant wait to go back in the dry. The wet however did teach me to be more smooth on control inputs as the rear of the car would want to step out if I was too aggressive on applying the throttle coming out of a turn.

I have some video from the Harry's Lap Timer app that I will post once I get them off the phone.

My girlfriend got me a set of Sparco hood pins as she bought a set too to replace the rusty ones on her composite hood. Hopefully the Sparcos don't rust(they claim they are stainless, but they look zinc plated to me).

You should check out the latches that I have called "Quik Latch"
They are by far the best quick release devices I've ever seen/used. They come in 2 diff sizes. I have one for each side of my bumper for a quick release bumper. Check them out.
I want to AutoX with u & BueCar!
