AMAZING swap, hugely helpful and informative!!!! I have some questions though pertaining to EZ30/XMT swaps...
I've got myself a 2004 Outback H6, and I've been looking for info on swapping in a manual Subaru drivetrain (gravitating towards the 6MT w/DCCD, R180, and Legacy front/Legacy Spec B rear axles). Good thing is, my car's got the engine wiring all taken care of by Subaru themselves Bad thing is, I have not found a single EZ30D + 6MT swap yet, so I'd be guinea-piggin it hardcore.
Do you think that there will be any additional problems with making the EZ30D cooperate with a 6MT as opposed to a 5MT? Judging by this thread, it looks like there's some wiring stuff that needs to be solved (VSS, TCM, TCU, gauges, etc.), and I would imagine that this is all pretty common between any manual swap. Also, it looks like I'm going to have to do some work with the DCCD if I want to control it, but that's common to all 6MT/DCCD swaps, and I think it's pretty simple to solve. Is there any other stuff I should know about, for either the 6MT or the DCCD?

Most manual swaps issues pertain to the ECU it's self. In shorts my of the 2.5 guys ground some pin or something. I WOULD be interested to find out as many times I'd love to get a Third Gen Legacy 3.0L sedan and turn into a manual swapped daily driver... BUT I h e enough with my 3 cars already.
As for the physical parts of the swap? Get the 6mt and love it. Keep an eye in year as different years and different gearing and such.(You have touque... I highly suggest an 07' trans) To get The DCCD is easier to take care of with a standalone DCCD controller. Also keep in mind not ALL 6mt's had DCCD...

I believe I've gotten rid of all the CELs. I wired the ECU so that it think it's in gear all the time, as well as wired the TCM so that it's in "1", and wired the 2.5rs VSS directly to the ECU. Seems to be working.
bumping for how to do this. it will be the only problem i can foresee with my wiring.
Got a hold of dyne he has some very use full tips and know how along with diagrams of the wireing he lost some documentation in a move he made so I will be taking photos of the wire that needs to be done.
One thing that should be known is that the h6 comes with several ecu's two plug vdc, two lug non vdc and three plug. Non vdc has white and grey plug wile vdc has green and grey plug very important. So far the only electrical specification I can get from subaru is the three plug I will be posting the schematics when I find a scanner ill try for a PDF file for downloads for u guys
this is something i threw together after dyne sent me the info on how to wire the tcu and ecu and clutch together so the p1507 code goes away and car dosnt die at randome when in neutral after driving around
well pdf is a bit big to put up so email me if u want or if u cant get a hold of dyne
p.s. dyne your the poop yo cars runs like a top now
Hi what's your e-mail, I'd like to have a wiring diagram, that would be helpful
mine is [email protected]
My baja has been swapped h6 and 5 speed for the last 8 months, but I have the random stalling problem and I'd be more than happy to fix it, because I have driven only like 300 miles with it in the last 8 months...
The first EZ30D BAJA with 4.111 5spd And I love the torque!!!!!
