well my experience with macco was this.
i paid for a 700 dollar job. got the Best prep job they had.
The job took four days and three nights. I expected a so so job.
I asked for:
-a complete respray of the stock color
-painted door handles, side moldings, and mirrors
not to much to ask for, just basic crap.
To get the car ready i removed all exterior crap. Mudflaps, headlights, foglights, grille, all were taken off in maccos parking lot before i walked in to hand them the keys.
Keep in mind. I did not ask them to paint the back of any panels, take any panels off, paint the underside of the hood ( it was green), or do the door jambs.
2 days later my dad went to the shop....he "wandered" into the prep bay and saw my car all sanded, they had the side moldings taped off! so he went to the prep guy and told them it was his car and he wanted to moldings painted. Not a problem, they removed the tape.
2 days later my dad shows up at my work in a fucking beautiful car. Keep in mind it was four different colors before it got painted so any improvement was awesome.
There were little things, some paint drip in the hardest to see places. Some dirt specs painted over...yada yada....i didnt want a great paintjob...just one color.
about a year later now, ive been on countless rallies, its been on the northeasts salt ridden roads, its been egged once, and i take it mudding on a regular basis.
oh and i was rearended.
there is paint missing where i ran into a pile of dirt. little spec of paint missing that you cant see from far away.
there is paint chipped where rocks hit the underside of the bumper.
oh and this came with a 4 year waranty.
overall im happy. no mater what alpha says
