Default car only starst in gear with trans neutral switch hooked up

So I'm hooking up neutral switches from a 5 speed swap done by previous owner, and when I hook up the pedal and trans it will only start in gear, but if on unplug the trans it will only start with the pedal like it should. Is the transmission switch bad. I have them running to the the same two whit red and whit and black wires. From what I understand this is right, its a 1998 impreza 2.5 rs and the diagrams I seen just shows that. If anybody has had experience, that would help alot.

Looking at your thread history, each post seems to include the same shit. Wiring. And the wiring for the same components. You already made a thread about your neutral switch. I hosted the FSM wiring diagram to help you. You may also want to look at the DIY auto to manual swaps threads, and basically reswap your car so you know how it was done and you can do it right, instead of this jank ass shit the previous owner did and you're chasing your tail pulling your hair out.

Uh, really? That's not how we conduct ourselves on this forum. Good luck with your issue, I'd hate to see an RS ruined by an idiot that can't accept the help he's given.

Props to iWire for answering OP's question regardless of the shameful way he responded. You're a better man than the rest of us!

Solid reply my friend, that is precisely why I try to help people on the internet. I told you exactly what you needed to do to get your car sorted.

I hope you saved those pdf's I posted in your other thread about this same exact thing, the links are dead.

I have never heard anything but good things about those guys! I wish I had had them make me a harness 2 years ago.....my car might actually be running right now
