Exclamation How To: Report Posts & PM's

How To: Reporting Posts & Pm's

Why report a post or PM?
While we moderators do patrol the forums we will miss things, it is then up to the members to report the post.

Who sees the reported post?
Only the moderator team will see the post, it is not seen by the rest of the membership (even you)

What happens after I report a post?
The moderator team will review the reported post and the proper action will be taken. You will either receive a PM from the moderator or you will see the moderator post in the thread. You may also see the reported post show up in the Private Support Forum, if you see this it is likely that the reported post was deemed unworthy of action. You will see a post by the moderator as to why.

What if the person I am reporting is a Moderator?
Please still report the post, moderators are not above the rules. The reported post will be discussed with the whole moderation team and you will be informed of the outcome.

What if I dont like the action taken by the moderator team?
Please create a thread in the Private Support Forum, your issue will then be discussed, privately, with the moderation team.

Now on to the how to....

Step One: Before you report a post

Please aquaint yourself with our rules, all offending posts should break one of the rules listed.
Rules can be found here

Step Two: Selecting post to be reported

At the bottom of the post you will see the report post icon

Step Three: Filling out the form
In this box you should put the reason you think the post breaks the rules, it is always good to cite which rule you believe is being broken. Also add any additional information that you would like the moderator team to know. After you have finished select "Send Report". You will then be directed back to the original thread. No further action is required.

Step Four: What Moderators see
This is what the moderation team sees.

Step Two.Five: Reporting a PM
Again take note of the Report post button in the top right hand corner of the PM. Select it and repeat step 3.

If anyone else has any questions please feel free to post up. I hope this takes some of the mystery out of reporting posts.. I have also noticed that most people miss the report PM option.
