Whats the offset? You should be fine with atleast a 225/40/18

48 mm Offset You think 235 40's will fit?

48mm is not too far out but then again thats 235 you're running. you might have to roll like spamman already pointed out, but there are a few times that the tire itself has different designs (wider or narrower contact patch) so depending on the brand you get, fender rolling may or may not be an option.

1 inch drop is not much at all, but depending on the travel of your suspension if it drops down a lot during braking/accel/bumps then you'll know. if you get coilovers, you don't have to worry about that, coz it will be stiff.

Your N/A right? Why in God's name would you want all that 'unsprung weight?
Just throw 200lbs of lead in your car and get the same results!

Because tires are cheaper than 200lbs of lead.
