Default Best Summer Tire under $100?

With alot of new tires coming out recently and some being discontinued..I'd like to know what tires you guys are running for the summer.

I've havent been able to buy sticky summer tires in a long time..so I'm looking for suggestions.

I'd like to spend under $100.205/55/16, sticky but quiet and decent treadlife. I know the Star specs are gonna come up, but the price also did.

What are you guys running this year?

Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's I have them in that same size. Fantastic grip wet and dry and only like $7x.00 a piece.

I think you'll like these, I haven't had any complaints with them so far and I'm on my second set. Btw they last me something like 35,000 miles and I'm no easy driver.

^yea, I'm looking for treadlife as well. I've had G-forces before, but not long enough to tell the treadlife or notice the noise...

Give General Exclaims a look on tire rack. I live in Oregon where rain is our state bird. They stick great in wet or dry and under $100 each.

Great bang-for-your-buck.
I run them for my regular street tires.
They don't grip like the RE01, but they are 1/2 the price!!

another thing to look out for are rebates. Some tires across multiple distributors will have a manufacturers rebate usually between $40-90 off a set. You might be able to use this to your advantage if you are borderline between a very good tire, and a decent tire that fits the bill.

I'm going to say the Kumho SPT's as well. I love them. Have them on both the STI and the WRX swapped GC.

(cant say about tread life, I think I usually get about 18K miles out of them)
