| some background i have a 99 Legacy 4eAT. i was driving a couple days ago and i was just cruisin at about 50 or so and i had to speed up. when i gave it gas it jerked and sounded like it sliped or simethign then caught and went. it has been doing it since then. just when i acclerate hard, is something wrong or is my car just not a racecar and cant transfer power that good... anything will help thansk in advance |

| is all the time, during shifts, certain gears, have you checked the fluid how long since the last fluid change

| heck yea, most tranny fluid fill ups or changes will cure most/all of those symptoms

| Is it thunking? May be your diff. Check the bushings in the back. My legacy will thunk if it shifts hard or if i go from reverse to drive. But my bushings are toast. they are barley connected anymore.

| I would drain the trans fluid, change the filter and refill. Don't have it flushed. That can break small particles loose and cause more damage. |
