Default Tranny Swap Fitment

Sup Everyone,

I just got a 2000 Impreza RS2.5 so you could say I'm fairly new to the Subaru world. The thing is my input shaft on the tranny is grinded to hell.. so much its not worth repairing it. So instead, I plan on swapping another used tranny, the thing is, I'm also swapping a DOHC 2.5 off an automatic '97 Legacy GT. I know a lot of Subaru parts are interchangable but I'd like to know which 5 speed tranny would fit on a DOHC 2.5 off a Legacy? Also, since the motor is coming off an automatic, would I need to be worried about it since I'm going to hook a 5speed on it? Will the motor have fitment issues?

Please let me know guys.. your help is very much appreciated.

Kudos,
Jay

Any EJ series tranny will fit any EJ series engine.
