| Ok, hears a question for yuh!!! ![]() Whats the differences between RS and STi ECUs? Could I technically plug the RS wiring harness into the STi and run it, but all the maps and timing and shit would just be off??? Is that a possibility. Heres why I ask, What I want to do is in my frankenstein RS to STi build up I wanna save some time and maybe money. Instead of having to get a standalone , could I simply get an STi ecu and hook the Cobbtuning AccessPORT and use the StreetTuner software to tune it. THe software looks like it has everythign I need. So it would be more plug and play instead of rewiring EVERYTHING. Tell me whatchu think. My project, btw, is a 2.5 STi Block with the 2.5 RS Head(cause it flows the best, and I already have one ) with cobbtuning valves and valvetrain, cobbtuning street cam, 3 or 5 angle valve job on the head, FAT WRX/STI Stage 2. |

| If you're spending the money for all the other STi parts, don't cheap out on the EM, that's the most important part, especially with a Frankenstien setup. Tuning is everything for getting good, safe power. You can use the STi ECU and AccessPort, but you will need to do a bit of rewiring, since it's not going to plug into the RS harness. It would be a better option than trying to get the stock RS ECU to work, though.

| There's not a ton of re-wiring really you just have to know what you're doing and people without lots of experience doing it will need a lot of time to sort everything out.
