need help from electrical guru - Subaru Impreza GC8 & RS Forum & Community: RS25.com

turns out last night i lost all power to my windows, turn signals, Sun roof speedometer,RPM gauge, gas gauge, Water temp gauge......i did notice the the harness coming from the fire wall into engine compartment was burned due to the turbo's heat....i unwrapped it and found to wires that were not broken but missing a little wrap on it.....i rewraped them with electirical tape but still....have no power....would somebody happen to know where this all would connect to...cause i checked all fuses and none were bad.....

BTW...its a 2000 2.5rs

The bulkhead wiring harness is basically your cars spinal cord so there are lots of wires in there. Can you identify the wire colors of the ones you burnt? You might have been lucky and just killed a ground. There's 18 wires that run through the firewall near the turbo. Check all your fuses too since the windows, sunroof, and such run through the bulkhead harness but the go through the driver's side fender so the would be burnt by the turbo.

You really need to do a better job protecting the harness, eletrical tape is not heat resistant.
