I have a wrx sti version 2 type ra that is totally stock. The stock boost is .7bar. The ecu can handle up to 1 bar of boost before the fuel cut kicks in. you need to put an adjustable boost controller to get to 1 bar ob boost. It does not come at 1 bar standard

so what would be a good amount of boost for this motor, like will it run healthy on 1 bar, or with higher fuel pressure or injectors is it safe to take to to 1.5 bar or more around 17 18 psi. im just trying to weigh my options for how i should set the car up to run reliable with around 280-300 to the wheels

It can run up to 1 bar then the fuel cut kicks in, therefore i would assume any boost over 1 bar is unsafe, unless maybe you upgrade injectors and/or fuel pressure coupled with an ecu.

You could run 1 bar ok as long as its been mapped for it,check fuel pump make sure it up rated, also injectors will be fine for 1 bar, mite look at getting fuel regulator...
