| I have to do an emission test before I can register my car. Anyway I've been deployed for the past 6 months and when I come back I got the car to started again and everything is fine. No engine light everything work smoothly, and today I just took it to get emission. The test result was "this vehicle has not successfully complete all of it's self test therefore is not ready for an emission inspection". So it technically FAIL. WTF!! What do I need to do get it to pass? I got a 01 2.5 RS COBB CAI full cat back and ebay headers kby shocks and tanabe springs and stock CAT worst come worst I can always pay to make it pass, but I just want to see what are my options.

| there are emissions readiness tests that need to run, if they don't the car will fail. drive it for a while, through various load levels. 5mph, to 50mph steady cruise, down to low speed. Atleast 50 miles. that should get the test to run. also do not take the battery off during this time..

| So 50 cruising for 20 miles, 35 for 10, and 25 for 10 and 15 for 5.the thus that it's kind if hard crusing around with expire plates. FML

| here is the basic im240, this is what will allow all of those test to run. Might want to do it a few times or something similar to it. This is actually what they used to do when they did sniffer test on the dyno Also: Start with a cold engine. Have 15%-85% fuel in tank No check engine lights ![]()

| Yeah I went through the same thing with my car... I had to wait a couple of days to pick it up so the dealer could get the tags updated. Call the DMV, explain the situation, and they should be able to give you a waiver/extension. Oh welcome to the forum, and welcome back from the 332nd. I'm assuming you were there, cause I was there a few months ago with the..14th I think it was (Hill, at any rate).

| I have an MIL eliminator that pretty much perpetually keeps my system in 'not ready' mode (according to my scan gauge 2). With all your exhaust mods, have you messed with your rear 02? |
