| 1.8L | For the pros. Were would you connect an EGT sensor due to the long length of the manifold runners. Usually I used to fit it directly in the Turbo exhaust housing but I think its too far away to get proper readings from the sensor. I was thinking because I have a 4-2-1 equal length manifold at the moment before the turbo on my GC8. I was thinking of sticking the sensor between runners 3 and 4 seeing that piston 3 is the most restricted aparently. What do you guys think ? Regards, Daniel J Vella www.KyokudoRacing.com |

| There the two trains of thought. One that says it should be close to the valves. I found info from 3-8" from the exhaust valve. The other is at the collector is hottest because you measure all the exhaust pulses so that should get hotter. Someone on here try both? I would like to know this too. |

| you need to make sure you're measuring all of the exhaust, but since we know cylinder 4 on ejs is always the problematic and hottest, i would put it right after the heads. |

| 2.2L Turbo | I'd put it near the heads, on the 1/3 collector personally.
