| so, in my pursuit of gaining/freeing up some more BANG from my 99 2.5RS, i've been looking into ignition systems a little. the first thing i am looking at it spark plug wires. i have found a set that claims no measurable drop in voltage from the start to end of the wire itself. i'll be getting a pair of those wires, and perhaps even put my car onto a dyno before and after... just have to find a local dyno. i've no doubt that there is something to be gained from using the 'correct' plug as well... but, that'll take a bit more research. ![]() i'm just curious if anyone else has done any reading or research on this topic as well, and if so, lets compare notes. ![]() |

| pretty sure this was covered alot in the pulstar spark plug thread. But pretty much, stock wires or rallitek are just as good if not better then the performance wires available for the subies.

| I can't really say, because I bought the car, then replaced the plugs, wires, and coil immediately. I didn't drive it enough beforehand to notice a difference. I did go to the OEM wireset in Fall of 08. Didn't notice any difference there, either. |

| aok. good enough.are there any aftermarket ignitors (i know MSD makes universal models) that have shown any actual benefit? as stated at the top, i am first looking at wires... so, i'll stick to that, but its all a system... |

| i had problems with Rallitek wires. worked fine but didnt fit right. it was loose and slowly vibrated itself out of the housing causing misfires.
