Wiring a 6 terminal kill switch as I type this. The diagram shows of course power in and out, and power to 1 terminal from the main power outlet which looks like it goes to the ignition switch on the other side of the kill base. Not sure if any of the 4 terminals on the bottom form a circuit (1 right side goes through to 2 right side). My biggest concern (and I googled a bit) is why do people wire the one terminal to the ignition coil (ground I assume)? Wouldn't it make more sense to kill the injectors so there isn't a couple more shots of fuel going into the cylinders thats just going to sit there unburned?

6 Terminal Kill Switch? I just cut one wire to kill my engine - installed a switch between the Self Shutoff Switch wire that runs between the ECU and the Main Relay. That cuts power to the injectors and fuel pump.

![]() I'm trying to wire it according to the diagram for simplicity. I might just be missing something but there is continuity between both #2 terminals. Is that right? -6 terminal for racing purposes, need to kill power

Nm, I got it now, the diagram threw me off. No need for the resistor and the ignition switch and such. Not sure that the switch itself is only supposed to have two terminals that have continuity but I only need two. Infact I don't think I NEED a multipole switch. If I have a single large power in and out and just wired the power wire to the injectors on those two large terminals, cutting the switch would cut batt power and injectors...shutting the engine off and no alt damage. Anyones input?

| It will actually kill everything, including your radio memory lol. OP, if you really want to use that switch, just wire it between the starter solenoid wire and the starter solenoid. (thin wire that plugs into the starter) That way if there is a malfunction with the switch, your car won't be shutting off on the freeway. You can also reconnect the starter solenoid wire if your switch wears out and causes starting issues for you.

I ended up wiring it all up this weekend, I used a hella 2 terminal switch as my ignition switch since the steering lock is gone for racing and mounted the kill switch today in the right back corner just under the hood, going to test the kill switch tomorrow, the ignition switch works wonderfully ...although I have no idea why the start switch I got at pep boys (and the same as every other starter switch out there basically) is rated for 60 amps when they have two tiny little contact screws on the back, mandating a tiny...thin...not worthy of carrying 60 amps, eyelet terminal to connect it...some things just aren't thought out
