|  Rear Oxygen Sensor I seem to remember reading awhile back that the rear o2 sensor's only purpose is to measure catalytic efficiency. Is this true? On my new mid pipe there is no rear o2 bung. I have to drive a couple hundred miles and was wondering if it would just cause the CEL to come on or if it would in fact cause the car to run poorly. |

| You're fine. The rear only checks the cat. Front O2 sensor will affect performance.

| Your CEl will come on, but it should just be the P0420 code, cat inefficientcy, won't make the car run any different. Mine comes on with that code about every 100 miles, but I can clear it on the fly with my ScangaugeII, no worries.

| Just get the o2 sensor raiser from ebay, they're like 20 bucks and fix the CEL no problem !

| p0420 yo does that actually work the adapter. im getting that fuckin code and it keeps coming back and makes my car backfire sometimes.
