| How would you rate Megasquirt vs. Open Source and what version are you running? |

| I would also love an M3 (not the car) for running a hybrid engine in either my 93 Impreza or an 01 RS. Will Megasquirt pull out the products for the Suby world or what? They sure hit the spot for Miata people (dunno what the fetish is with such a tiny gay looking car-no offense to people that like these things), but the Suby community is MASSIVE for modifications and if a product can do anything and more than these big $$$$$ standalones, then a load of these things would be sold, then found on the used market, then purchased used or new...it would be extremely lucrative for Megasquirt to get designs out for the Suby community if they really want to bank big time. In this economy, I can't think of one other car enthusiast type that would be wanting something like this more than the cheap ass Suby people that cannot afford to have Hydras. Cheers! |

| this whole thread is about developing products for subarus lol. And believe it or not, as many parts as they have out, subaru's are still one of the higher end cars that are modified, the parts although interchangable are expensive and the tuning is even more, this aint no civic your dealing with. And until about the time this thread started, theres maybe a handful of people who have run MS on subies successfully, theyre still the black sheep of the MegaSquirt ring.

Quick comparison to Subaru's where the new ones are expensive and much more complicated, the older ones have dozens of different versions and there really is no standard Subaru to focus time and resources on that could possibly yield the same profits as a Miata. That and it's originally a Jap Econobox. ![]()
