my BOV makes a little flutter noise under low boost, or after a huge vent. nothing is wrong with my car. i have a BLITZ super sound BOV and every car over here that i know that has one does the same exact thing.

Now after I got my new Tial BOV it flutters for a half a sec or so, then vents fully with the pssssshhhhhh!!! sound. But again I'm only running 5 psi and using a 7 psi minimum BOV.

I DO hear a lot more BOV's flutter at low boost levels. At HIGH Boost levels I've seen them flutter because of setting the spring tension higher. in FMIC WRX's w/ BOV's they flutter some too at low boost.

look on youtube for COMPRESSURE SURGE and you'll know if your flutter is good or bad.

I also have HKS BOV and i think it could be fluttering with AVO kit how do you cut the spring? or change it for lower PSI i have dual stage boost controller set to 4 and 6 psi. Thanks

-10 and -13 in/Hg Black -7 Psi (-14 in/Hg )
the section i highlighted is the actual spring you need in your tial bov. (i have this BOV) the reason in b/c this is the proper spring for the bov when your car idles in 20in hg. the 11psi has nothing to do with boost it is all about where your car idles in vacumm

the 7psi your running mean your car at idle sits at -14 in hg. but subarus should be at -20 in hg

Use the vf39, unless it has tons of miles on it and the td04 doesn't.

yeah i thought about that. i might not see full boost until 4k-redline with the VF39, that's a pretty short boost band. but then again, it'll be more stronger than the td04. i just broke 90k miles this month =(, i'll be overhauling that bitch.

pete ran one on his 1.8 and he told me that it was fast but he was basically shifting everytime he hit boost cause of the short lived powerband..and it was laggy.

if u can spin it to 7K+ it wouldnt be a problem though..like i said.
