| the BOV is set too high. it's not opening fully. the spring is too tight. the turbo is not forcing enough air into the BOV to make it open all the way. it's probably only gettin about half open and surging back into the turbo. you need an adjustable one, or turn the boost up so it has the pressure enough to open the BOV completely.

How are other cars able to vent when theres no load on the engine (>1psi) and I cant vent properly even when at 6k. If you pust a BOV with a 21lb spring on an EVo running 21psi how is he able to open the 21lb spring when revving in nuetral even though his car is only making 1psi of boost in netral. Vacuum must play a big role here that I'm not understanding

just becuase you hear them vent doesn't mean it's a full vent. especially when it vents when revving in neutral. the turbo is not pushing anywhere near the same amount of boost as it does when the engine is under full load. so yes, a BOV can vent in neutral, but it's never going to be a full violent vent.

| 2.5L | I must again bring this back cuz im sick of hearing the flutter either from my turbo or the WG...why is it doing this still even with the hks bov? this was what we did, i had the icu plus black box that came with my eps kit and tial bov, no fluter but slow response when i press the gas, then put the NEO , i hear fluttering, esp from stop and go, but when im driving and press the gas alittle and let go quick response no fluttering(at higher rpms.... so eps sent me a new black box(ICU), took off the neo, no fluttering again but slow response and forgot about my horrible idling up and down when car is stoped(running rich).. so i decided to buy the hks suer sequencial bov and put back the NEO take out the black box(icu) , flutters again...i really think it the WG and not turbo..but still needs to be fixed now i really think the neo is doing something cuz without it dont flutter but there is a slow response with the icu or black box..???? |
