In this video, it shows how your BOV should sound, and how it shouldnt.

Didn't get much out of the cell phone vids..but my noise is definately coming from the BOV..not the turbo. And also the BOV IS opening and releasing the air. I don't think it's compressor surge..but I also know that BOV's are not supposed to sound like this. And BTW it did sound similar to the vid showing compressor surge..but not exactly like it. Ill try to put a vid or something up showing the noise.

So if the BOV is releasing air that means it can't be compressor surge..right?

Not, just means its not opening up fast enough.

Did you even read my post? The link i psoted tells you all about how a BOV sound sound.

Get a adj BOV if you want to keep the sound, you will lose hp but if getting the turbo is all about the sound then yeah..

Like i said, running 4psi aint strong enough to push a bov thats built for somthing higher.

Also, where is your BOV located?

just try re-routing the vaccum line to the bov. Air may be coming out of the bov but that doesn't mean it's working properly.

It's located about 1 1/2 ft. from the throttle body

And I already tried changing the source of the vacuum. I cant figure out why it's sounding like this. After I get the emanage ultimate I ordered and I feel comfortable with the engine management im turning up the boost to 7psi and we'll see how it sounds.

I don't know if that'll solve it... because my BOV goes off fully on partial throttle, read 1-2psi.

If it does solve it, great... but if it doesn't you're only amplifying the damage being done to your turbo via compressor surge.
