| 3.3L | Yea, I showed my friend who posted it on his blog and evidently e-mailed it to jalopnik. He liked it and we didn't think you'd get such negative comments ![]() Sorry

| that is freaking awesome! ![]() Props on being brave enough to DIY it to the max. And surely you're going to refine it even more. Can't wait to see your final results!

| hat is sick!!! Great build and congrats on going down the road less traveled. I don't think I would have the patience to figure out all the small things that go along with a unique build. Keep us updated!

| Thanks for the lovin' everyone I'm surprised at how fast this build thing is taking off, having a writeup that I didn't write with 10,000 views on Jalopnik is like woah for me haha. Don't worry about the Mustang forum, I've registered and will go make peace with them when my account is approved (and big lulz at the guy who said it fit in perfectly with my neighbor's house spoiled highschoolers are funny). No worries mods, I'm not gonna go talk trash, I'm gonna straighten up the story a bit for themAnd yeah, this thing has a ways to go before it's done, and will be a LOT cleaner when I'm finished. Frankly, I wanted it in my car. Now. So I did what it took, and am only now worrying more about the long-term things like looks and better welding (as I gain experience, of course. I will be throwing out picture-perfect welds in no time )OH YEAH, I bet everyone here wants to know the grand total! I think I may have set a record with this one ![]() Supercharger: $175 shipped Underdrive pulley: $80 shipped (was a whole set, ended up only needing the crank pulley.. bummer) Boost gauge: $50 shipped 3" Aluminum piping: like $10 worth out of an $80 kit I'll use later Engine Management: Free (go ROMRaider!) Yeah the Tactrix costs money, but I was using it for a while before the build, and it is actually the reason I even took so long to snap out of tuning mode and into SC mode ![]() Angle iron: $12 Random crap: let's call it $50, prolly a lot less Aluminum Plate: $80 Grand total: $460 If you don't mind getting a little crazy and learning everything yourself, it's amazing the money you can saveLast edited by Spudchucker; 04-23-2009 at 09:39 PM.. |
