The description in case you're too lazy to click:

I'm selling or trading my RARE 1997 Subaru Impreza GC Rally Car Coupe due to my new time restraints and college budget.

So much time and money has been poured into this machine. I'd like to sell it as is, but will possibly part it out if no offers are appealing to me. It can be used for RALLY, AUTO-X, TIME ATTACK, or even a NOVELTY DAILY DRIVER. Only Rally-Crossed once its entire life. M4 (Modified AWD) Rally Class.

What has been done...

Mechanically:
EJ18 engine with 100k miles. Comes stock with thick block and forged pistons. Ready for boost (: or swap
Alternator
Oil pan & gasket
Radiator

Exterior:
JDM Black Crystal Headlights
Hella 500FF Driving Lights
00-01 RS Bumper
WRC Roof Scoop
2-way aluminum roof vent
Stainless Steel Differential Skid Plate

Weight Reduction:
Complete Interior Removal- Carpet, Insulation, Panels, Radio, Speakers and Floor Consol.
Remove A/C compressor and supporting hardlines
STi Carbon Fiber Hood
Nexani Carbon Fiber Trunk
STi 7lb Light Weight Bumper Beam--- Stock (40lbs.)

Interior:
WRX seats
Momo steering wheel
GReddy Grex Shift Knob
Aluminum Diamond Plate- Center Consol (Switchboard), Dead Pedal, Etc
G-Force 5-point 3-in Race Harnesses

Brakes:
Larger WRX Drilled Rotors with 2-pot brakes

Wheels and Tires:
16" 2.5GT Wheels with Hankook I-pike Studded Snow tires

Honestly I think it looks like a great deal... i mean it has most of a Ver5/6 conversion some nice legacy flakes nice roof scoop and if nobody noticed has wide fron fenders!!!! 4500 obo is a great deal it would clean up very nice plus all the extras you get with it!!!

Im pretty sure thats requirment most grassroots events require some kind of marking and usually you just painters tape it on so you can pull it off

I just found it quite funny of the usage "rare" in the description. It is nice, but only if you were going to swap it. Do you really think a 1.8 has forged pistons?

do your research and you will find the USDM ej18's crankcase, crankshaft,rods and pistons match the same exact part numbers as the JDM bottom ends.....
which were forged

so yes ej18's are stock with forged bottom ends thats why people that boost the ej18 when properly set up hasn't been tested to its limits yet..\

imprezadent ran about 16psi, joe joe is running about 20 for a year.. both were hindered by TUNING not the motor

given the choice i would chose the ej18 over any SOHC motor

Yeah the term 'rare' is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overused in the Subaru world. I punch myself in the face everytime I see that word in a classifieds unless it's a 22b being sold.
