I never said I liked the LS1 in the WRX. Actually I never said I like any of those swaps in my original thread I just said I had seen them. I even stated I respected the hard work and ingenuity in my first post in this thread. My next post even stated why I think don't like the Chevy motor because I’m a Ford fan and that I'm part good ‘ole boy so I don't see how my statement was bigoted. Granted even using my "Bloodlines" comment Subaru was partially owned by General Motors so I can even see the SB checy WRX as being "Kosher" I just prefer Subaru powered Subaru's.

I like ford too. They made it really easy for everyone by circling the problem.

I like the sounds that Japanese turbo sportscars make, so it's unlikely I'd ever put a V8 into something else... unless I had a car with a blown motor sitting around and an V8 is cheaper than the parts that belong. Then, why not?

I want an LSxMiata. I'd rock that ish all day

I don't know. There's something about a rumblin' American V8 that makes my heart pump and the kid in me get all giddy.

Our puny little 2.5L's don't do me the same way as big displacement and 8 cylinders does.

You're right, OUR cars. The non-boosted ones that you and I drive. They suck, admit it. We've been in the Subaru game forever and talk about swapping to turbo but don't do it. A worked turbo Suby sounds so sick to me, but the N/A econocars that these come in sound weak. Because they are weak.

Of course a V8 sounds better than OUR cars.

I've got a turbo subie, and it sounds awesome.... but I've got a 79 trans am too and it's something different entirely

No 4 cylinder is ever going to sound as good as a well set up V8

I'm also into classical music more than rock music, and badminton to football, so... yeah.

you didn't address the fact that YOUR puny 2.5L car doesn't sound anything at all like a worked turbo Scoob
