Totally weak on the FIA's part. F1 has been a money pit for years... why start caring now?

can you imagine watching F1 and not seeing a Ferrari, Renault, BMW, McLaren, or a Toyota out in the field... Its just plain wrong! (I am talking about the factory teams, not the other teams that just happen to be driving one of those cars)

I could imagine, it used to be that way prior to the big budget years of the late 90's, you had teams like Stewart, Tyrell, hell even Arrows (before they went bust) I could see them heading into the direction where Cart once was, having Dallara, and Lola chassis with different engine manufacters in order to save costs...I hope that isn't the case of course.

I knew there was some racing with set chassis, and then you had you pick of engines. I hope that doesn't become F1, its the pinnacle of racing and they are making too many rules. I don't like the idea of the 2 tier racing. I like the idea of budget caps to make it more open to other teams, but it seems like 40 million is a little low. I watched off and on last year and have kept current this year, and even I realize that 40M has got to be nearly impossible for the factory teams.

You understand it is 40m GBP which is like $60m USD.

No wonder Lola is interested in making chassis for F1 again.
