Not sure if many folks knew this but the TRP 8.81 second 1/4 mile was/is sohc (I sorta remembered this & had to re-check the facts).

I think it may be the quickest SOHC Subaru in the 1/4 mile.

Actually, aside from the microtech tuning, and turbo, thats a simple setup right there...

impressive...

I'm not that familiar with drag cars...is that tank in the left side of the engine bay a gas tank or dry sump oil reservoir. I wish they would've gotten the whole engine bay in the pic.

Thats a dry sump, the fuel cell is in the rear of the car, it has to be by regulation, there must be a divider between the fuel and driver, and the driver from the engine.

The 7 second coupe is kinda cool, but I like the wagon in the link above better - it looks nice & simple almost streetable but runs hard!
