Default Subarus belong to the Northeast

So the for sale forums and the members journals are littered with Yankees(lol just kidding) but, it seems everyone that has a gc8/gm6 are up north and cali do southerners not like subbies or even the northwest. I mean whats up? I guess subbies love the snow.

umm... Subaru's are all i see really in the northwest. Pretty sure Northwest might have the highest concentration of subarus... Mostly legacy's thou. And not so many Imprezas.

This might belong in the debate place

I'd say they are more popular in the northern half of the US cause of the AWD, i mean, how many ppl really will auto-x their subaru, or drive it as a sport enthusiast in the south, instead of just buying some kind of honda thats quick and cheap as dirt to hook up and keep up with a typical porsche. I'd say their in the north for the weather we have to deal with. I love my impreza in the snow no questions asked.

ive had a few friends research this for a paper for highschool and there are more subaru's per capita in the PCNW then any other place in the country. you cannot drive a mile without seeing atleast one subaru.

Subaru is a niche car company. They cater mainly to the snowbelt region, and a few southern "sunbelt" import hot spots like California and Florida.

But the northeast is way more populous than the northwest. Also I dont think people in Manhattan are not into cars(could be wrong though). But I think the northeast takes the cake.
