| Winner: N2x4 Member Journal: Nate's 95L Wagon Challenge: "Best Picture of your Subaru with something Green" FEATURED INTERVIEW RS25: Nate, how did you find out about this website? n2x4: I actually stumbled across RS25 when googling the Impreza. I joined in 07 because I liked what I saw and picked up a few things from the classifieds. It wasn't until last June that I finally got an Impreza - I had to wait a while to find a good deal! RS25: Since you have been here how has the site helped you? n2x4: I've made more friends here, both online and in person, than any of the other forums I'm on. A good group of people for sure! Everyone's been helpful and very supportive. The classifieds are awesome as well. RS25: What was your first subaru? n2x4: It all started with my second car - a 1990 FWD 5 Speed Legacy L. I learned how to swap struts, axles, brakes, and anything else you can think of on that car. The addiction started with the old school Legacy as I got a 1991 Legacy Turbo after that, I could never find an Impreza! RS25: Tell us about your car. Any plans of modification or upgrades? n2x4: I got my wagon just a little over one year ago on Craigslist in Columbus for $950. I found the ad on a Monday, called off sick from work Tuesday, and had my girlfriend drive me down to get it. It was perfect - bad rear wheel bearings, no exhaust, steelies, and a fender with a hole in it. It begged to be modded. I didn't start out with any other goal than a RS front end conversion. Lately, I've started to get into auto-x and the direction of the car has changed a little. I've kept a budget and done all the work myself. It's been a lot of work getting the car to the point that it's at, but it's nice to have the satisfaction of having done it all myself. Not sure what the future has in store other than "moar powar". RS25: Help us get to know you. What is your name and what do you do? Have any hobbies? n2x4: My name is Nate Ruehs, and I'm a network administrator. If I'm not fixing computers, chances are I'm fixing cars! I don't have a car background - all my mods have been a result of trial and error and lots of forum searching. I think I'm the only guy in the office who pulls engines on the weekend... RS25: What gave you the idea for your picture? n2x4: I had been talking about the contest with my girlfriend, and I wanted to find a spot where I could make my car look like it was hiding in some grass without having to drive through a field to get the shot. She actually found the location on her way over to my house one nite - what a woman! RS25: Well thank you for your participation in the contest and congratulations on winning. Any other comments you would like to add? n2x4: Just a huge thanks to everyone who voted for the picture with the least amount of actual car showing - I was really glad to see how many people enjoyed the shot!
