I tried to swap my GC seat rails to my 06 WRX TR seats, and I'm pretty sure it isn't possible. The way the rails mount to the seat is totally different. But the seats will still bolt into the car, they will just sit a little higher.

I'm in the same boat as agean93l, I've got the same seats as a WRX TR (base 06 seats) in my RS, and i'm finding even tho I'm not that tall I feel oddly high driving it.. not sure if the bases are going to be like the 02 WRX, or like the newer WRX/STi seats, I'm hoping like the older models since they don't have a full back, and I would suspect they use the same rails.

Either way, I'm going to see if I get used to being a little higher before I do anything...

BUMP

Why? Well, every once in a while I see people asking about how to swap seat rails for the GD seats, into their GC(/GM/GF). Since this one's got such a nice photo walkthrough, I thought I'd bump it.

In fact maybe I'll Stick it for a while. If you guys hate having it on top, let me know and I'll pull it off.

i just put wrx seats in my gc. With the height adjustment the driver's side is fine. passenger's side is a little high, but damn, it slides so far forward! makes getting into the back of the coupe so much easier

Anyone have a spare seat rail lying around? I'm kicking myself for throwing away my L seats. I didn't realize this was even possible.

I have 02 WRX seats and I CANNOT stand how high it sits. It would not be so bad, if I didn't drive an 02 wrx wagon daily, but I do and that one has height adjustment, but my GC8 is right hand drive. NO HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT!!

It is horrible. Please let me know if you have a rail for donation or cheap.
