Default (WA) 99 GC8 STi swap $5,999

Hey everyone, its a sad day when I've gotta sell my baby but I've been laid off for almost 4 months and can not make the car payments anymore. So here goes,

Car: 1999 Impreza RS 2 door

Color: Silverthorne Metallic with VIS Racing carbon fiber hood and HT Autos right side air intake scoop replacment

Motor: 1994 2.0 liter "Fully Closed" yes, fully closed deck for high boost applications. With under 5,000 miles since its rebuild

Transmission: 1994 "RA" Close Ratio short race transmission, (perfect rally and auto x tranny) with 4-11 final gears

Exhaust: Blitz Nur-Spec 3 inch one piece full race exhaust. From turbo to muffler tip. there are no catalytic converters in this exhaust. just one open pipe all the way back to the muffler. It looks, performs, and sounds amazing!

Interior/Exterior: looks great for a 10 year old car

I bought a running swap, (motor, tranny and harness) did a rebuild on the motor with stock subaru parts. And through it in my RS. The car ran good. The harness worked but was pretty hacked up when I got it. One of the head gaskets had some seepage and I decided to pull the motor, replace the gaskets with kinetic head gaskets and get ARP head studs.

The old intake and intercooler were terrible. So I had the top half of a new 04-07 style STi intake weilded onto the bottem ports of the old intake. So, the new intake bolts right up with the older motor. And the air idle control sensors work now. Pretty badass if I do say so myself. Lol.
While the motor was out, I wanted to fix the wiring issue because I wanted it done right. I got a v7 wrx harness, installed it and found out my phase 1 heads won't make timing with the newer stock ecu. So it needs engine management.

The car needs a standalone ECU and a gasket kit. the motor was pulled because one of the head gaskets did not seal properly after the rebuild. Then I got laid-off.

The original intake was huge and would not except newer or after-market inter coolers, I purchased a new version 8 Sti intake that would not work with this car. I then had the 2 intakes Tig wielded and merged. So yes, this is a 94 motor with a version 8 intake!! very custom!! can now take any after-market intercooler setup that a version 7 or 8 Sti can.

The car was rewired with a version 7 WRX harness and ready for a standalone.

This is the GC8 guys dream setup and is ready to be finished and rallied!!

The motor and tranny are worth what I'm selling the whole car for so there is no price negotiation... This is simply what i owe for the whole car and can no longer afford the payments.

This was a show car and won a few events.

Thanks,
Chris

So, if you got some Ver 7/8 ej207 Heads, you would not need to go standalone- correct?

that is correct. the issue is that the heads dont make timing with the new ecu. new heads will fix the issue. also, its wired for a new ecu anyway

You mean it is wired for the Ver 7/8 ECU, or you removed some of the wiring to make way for standalone?
