Yes, they have come out of the wood work the last two years, with this year being the worst I can remember. We as mods spend a large chunck of our time monitoring, researching, and trying to be policemen for the scammers.

But, I ask. Why are the people who are most affected by these dishonest, untrustworthy people, tolerating this? Why are members not assuming some of the workload to stop this shit dead in it's tracks?

The same people who whine in PM's to me and other mods, are too damn lazy to post 'Buyers Beware' threads on these low life's to protect others from getting burned. Don't piss in the thread of the scammer's in question (hijacking ANY classified is still against the rules). Take freaking 5 minutes and post a 'Buyers Beware' thread and state your case. Enough people voice the same opinion, bam... the ban hammer comes out.

It's time members watched out for each other and attack this in the proper and most effective way! Fair enough???

Do you monitor IP of the verified scammer to make sure any new accounts they create get flagged in some fashion?

Si, we ban member and IP... if there are multiple IP's it is more of a challange!

Tricky is when they have multiple routers to make accounts off of at a time.

It's good to stop the scammers after they've scammed, but is there any way to stop them BEFORE they commit the crime? Maybe we can do something like a higher post minimum before selling? Or.. ???

Ace, this latest pair were banned before they burned anyone because we were breathing down their throat and then pulled the plug. Say good-bye to LadyLove and WRXohsix...

And if the members would also do their part and post 'Buyers Beware' threads when things start looking 'skunky' and warning other members of possible scams we could shut down a lot more!

How about some help? The 1st 'Buyers Beware' on these two went up today after we banned them!!!
