Default Project Outback Sport

Hello, my name is Sam, and this is the story of my 99 OBS.

In the summer of 2007, I went on a search... a search for my first car. I knew exactly what I wanted, a car with some space and some pep; it had to be a fully Japanese built car. Through some extensive searching and process of elimination, I was led to looking for a 99 Subaru Impreza OBS. There were close to none out in SoCal, so after some out of state searching, I finally picked one up in Colorado in May, 2007. The owner was a little old lady, the only owner, had the dealership do all maintenance, and the car had great low milage: 60k. Took a greyhound bus out on a Saturday morning and came back Sunday night with my first car, and project It has the 2.2L EJ22 phase II engine and a 5-speed manual.

About half a year later, the car was given a complete overhaul, which can be read about here.

From there on out, it just got better and better.

Good work.......GF FTW...
couple of reccomendations:

as your a teen..
-Get involved in your local Autocross scene...to run...
that way you "learn" your car and its capabilities....You won't be out there to win.......yet...just learn the car..

2nd:
-enjoy the car...

Good work....looks like you have done some decent research..

Bill

Where at in Socal....by the streets...I would say Anaheim or Buena Park area???? (Grew up in HB)

Thanks somewhere down the line I plan get into some autocrossing; still have around 8 night hours I need to finish up on the permit so I can snatch up my license. I'm out in the South Bay area (Torrance, Lomita, Palos Verdes, etc.)

Nice setup! Very similar mods to my RS. I agree you should keep it stock looking. That sound clip doesn't do the magnaflow justice. In person they are deep and sound MEAN.

Yeah, it's quite good looking stock for a wagon. I hope I can get a digital camcorder somewhere down the line, then I can get some better clips of the car
