| The Origins of my car... I joined here right after I purchased my car. I remember early december I was drivng my 2000 Ford Focus. I had just put the Eibach Swaybar kit on and it felt great, so it was off to the twisties to "break it in". I put the car through it's paces and was headed home. On a S-turn the car started to brake oversteer. I did my best to correct it (countersteer and accelerate out of the oversteer). Well there was no hope. I ended up hitting a tree at roughly 55 MPH. The car held up really well, airbags popped, went very smoothly for a crash. The car rotated around the tree about 120* and I was told that it did that about 2 inches off the ground, since my buddy was behind me. So the car is totalled, with about $13000 worth of damage to a $6000 car that I owed $4000 on. I immediately picked up an Auto Trader and started scouring. Ironically, my buddy and I had just been talking about the early model L and RS Imprezas. So after hitting some dealerships and finding nothing I wanted and driving a couple of EGs and EKs, nothing fit. So another week and another Auto Trader, and I run across what will come to be my RS. It was the best find on earth and I was lucky as I came to find out, it was local and $9000. I immediately called the owner and went to see the car after work. I was very impressed and sat on it for a minute and called to set up a drive. About a week later we were at the credit union getting everything sorted out. I bought it Mid-December in 2004, I've had it for 3 years and loved every minute of it. I remember the night we buttoned up the paperwork, my friends were at the mall. I shot over the the gas station around the corner from the credit union and went to the mall to show them my new whip. Insurance hadn't kicked in and the tags were from my Focus, but I had to drive it. Here are some of the best most recent pictures that I have of my beast. they are from a recent rally-x. I popped my Auto-x cherry in October and my Rally-X cherry a month later. For this car I must say I prefer Auto-x. ![]() ![]() ![]() Engine/Drivetrain Cobb CAI Apex'i N1 exhaust Borla Header Gen4 TB spacer Paranoid Fab grounding kit TB coolant bypass Technafit Steel braided Clutch-line Kartboy SS w/black knob and blue accent Kartboy Shifter Stay Kartboy Shifter Bushings STi/Group N Tranny mount STi/Group N Engine mounts Kartboy Diff bushings Exedy Sport Clutch ACT Streetlite Flywheel Group A LW Crank Pulley Home Depot Catch Can Brakes Technafit steel braided Braklines ATE Superblue Fluid Speedbleeders ABS on/off switch Flat Black 4 pots w/ raised letters DBA 5000 Slotted rotors Handling BC Racing Coilovers iPd Swaybar kit F/R Group A endlinks F/R Jnorth Fender Braces (not on car) ebay Strut Tower braces Kartboy Hard Diff Bushings Exterior Big Ass speed dent right rear quarter where I aquaplaned off the interstate and hit a pole V6 Rear bumper w/ Spats (Flat Black) Aerogaurds (Flat Black) Sideskirts (Flat Black) Hood vents (Flat Black) Scoop (Flat Black) Clear sidemarkers Pink "i" Badge Debadged Rockblocker yellow fogs Removed bumper vents Rally Piggie Flat Fuel Door (WRB )Misc. Not including the fact that I Paid it off . And the car is very quickly approaching the 100000 mark .Car made it past 100000, unfortunately it's showing signs of a failing HG. Also, I broke Second gear .Mid-09 I fixed the head gasket and replaced the tranny. The only issue I was having after that were serious idle issues, caused by a bad Coolant temp sensor. I replaced that about 2 weeks ago. Now the car runs like brand new. Lastly I need to have the front ball joints replaced. I absolutely cannot get them out myself. That and the "speed dent" are the last real issues with the car. I ordered some WRX rear rotors, pending this weekends weather I'll be putting the 2 pots on I bought 2 years ago.

| ^you mean corner lights. I really dig your RBP lucky. auto-x is very addicting and i can't wait for 08 season. I haven't done a rally-x yet since we don't have those events in iowa.
