My car history:
Always been in to subarus ever since my first car, 1987 GL Wagon. That thing was and still is a great car, just slow.
I had my heart set on a WRX ever since I found they existed. And after many years of saving I finally bought a 03 bugeye.

Note: you can see my GL wagon in the background here.

Never really got in to moding this car beyond replacing the rotors and pad with COBB sport ones.
Car had a slew of problems, mostly suspension. Struts locked up, bad wheel bearings and a slew of other problems.
I luckily the Subaru dealership in town was very understanding of my starving student status and warranty-ed lots of things

Crowing beauty of this car was an remote start that would make the car jump foward if activated while the car was in gear.
I never had a problem with it, but mechanics never could and it destroyed a few tool boxes, never hurt anyone thankfully.

As you may have guessed the car was in an accident, hence the custom paint job. This was the straw that broke the subies back for me on this car and I ended up selling it shortly after.

Next car I decided to go RWD for a little different and ended up picking up one of these:

This car was AMAZING to drive and I loved every minute of it, except when I had to repair its 10 year old self.
Ended up being afraid to drive it hard for fear of having it laid up for a month when I couldn't afford to fix it so i sold it.

RS History:
I have always wanted one of these cars ever since I wanted a WRX, but the draw of stock turbo drew me in. But one day after I sold my M3 I was driving my friends volvo and a 2.5rs got behind me for 20 miles on a windy road. Afterward I knew I had to get one.

Ended up hitchhiking into San Francisco from Santa Cruz to check out the car and ended up buying it then and there.

I wish I had pictures of when I first bought it because it needed some TLC. Car had no side molding, dumpy American Racing silver wheels and lots of interior repainted with what appeared to be white-out.

First thing i did was get some side moldings painted and attached, get clear corner/blinkers/side makers and paint the wheels black so they didn't look so horrible. Heres the earliest picture I have of mein RS.

Since then I've put a lot of work and time and $$ into this car and had a blast doing it. I made the promise that with this car, unlike the M3, I would do as much of the mechanical work as I possibly could and excecpt for tire mounting, alignments and getting my brembos put on (needed it done in three days). Its been great and I've been having a blast with it.

Well subiefest was fun right until....

Was running good until coming off after my first session of the day she died in the pits and wouldn't start again. Got her pushed back to my spot in the parking lot and while trying to start her again made a metal on metal very bad noise so im pretty sure this engine is good and cooked.

This is why you get AAA plus memberships....

Now she sits in my driveway until i can figure out what to do.

been shopping around, was consitering getting a wrecked wrx or sti and swapping everything thing over, but i have no where to keep a second car that doesn't run, so it looks like im going to be picking up a swap kit.

Probably gonna end up getting a 06-07 since i really like the low end torque that my na 2.5 had and don't want to lose too much of that. maybe even an STI motor.....
